Daffodil Moon

Was it always like this?

Wintering ends with

A full moon shaking

My repose,  throwing

Sleep into disarray.

It was a long winter

Though the days were

Warm and the rain

Almost too late.

A winter waiting

And now it is over.

September birthdays

Will always be spring

For me, the cherry

Blossom month,

Whatever hemisphere

You are in.

One moon

And this year

The first daffodil

Rises like a petaled orb

Scenting the eve.
